Following Neovia‘s acquisition of Biomix, Wisium now becomes the third largest premix player in Colombia. After the Philippines, Vietnam and Algeria, this is the 4th launch in 2018 for the brand, which is following its rapid international expansion. This merge allows the reinforcement of Wisium’s know-how in terms of animal nutrition expertise and brings new field for innovation. The brand aims to build specific solutions to the Colombian feed producers.
A wide multi-species expertise network on the Latin and Central America zones
Colombia is joining the Wisium center of expertise in Latin and Central America, which already includes Brazil and Mexico. Wisium experts will benefit from a wide multi-species zootechnical expertise in poultry, swine, ruminant and aquaculture to meet customers’ challenges.
They offer independent advice on any aspect of production management, formulation, raw materials and ingredients knowledge, quality control strategy, nutritional requirements, health and farm management as well as industrial performance support. This worldwide expertise allows them to evolve in a constantly changing technical and economic context and maintains Wisium’s strong position on the feed market.

Enhanced offering serving local livestock farmers
Biomix will benefit from Wisium’s global nutritional programs including innovative products and services. Quality control tools such as more recent NIRs technology with local and accurate calibrations, for rapid prediction of the composition of raw materials and finished products, as well as laboratory analyses in the Wisium’s partner research centers network will be proposed to the Colombian feed producers to optimize their formulas and their feed performance.
The monogastric offers will be completed with T5X and B-SAFE, reference solutions for mycotoxins and global demedication approach.

New offers will also be deployed in the coming months in the swine and aquaculture feed markets with a strengthening of the sales and technical teams. In swine, WEAN UP, the worldwide piglet program, will be launched. It includes added-value services and pre-starter feed for piglets health and nutrition. In aquaculture, Wisium teams will offer strong and dedicated expertise in farming systems and a complete range of premix and specialties.
